The Sisterhood of the World Bloggers

I’ve been nominated for The Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award  by amazing Kelly Michelle from Around the World in 80 Pairs of Shoes blog. Her Afternoon Tea posts will make you fond of tea even if you hate it while her English castles posts make me want to book the next flight back to England. 🙂
I was so happy when I saw this unexpected nomination since I’ve only been blogging for less than three months! 🙂 I’m delighted to see that my efforts have been appreciated.

Without further ado, here are my answers to her questions:

Where is your all-time favourite destination?
Hands down it’s got to be London! Just check the name of my blog! Seriously, London is my first love.

Which post are you most proud of?
This one is a bit difficult. There are some posts that I’m satisfied with, some that I’m happy with and there are some that I felt I had to write and publish even though I wasn’t too pleased with them. But who am I to say that ?You should ask my readers 🙂

Have you read my post on Bled?
Have you read my post on Bled?

Who would you invite to your dream dinner party, alive or dead?
Agatha Christie, James Bond (Pierce Brosnan), Duchess of Cambridge Kate (I saw her once in a car in Edinburgh) and.. I don’t know. Seriously, I’m not that bothered with celebrities. I’d rather call my granny who passed away when I was a teenager. I’d love her to try out my muffins.

Do you have a favourite travel app?
No. I just don’t use them. Really. I use TripAdvisor but not the app. I use guide books and maps 🙂

What’s your favourite and least favourite thing about blogging?
Hmm, my least favourite thing about blogging is that it’s quite time-consuming. There are piles of un-ironed clothes, unwatched series, unfed cat. Don’t worry. I’m just joking 🙂 That cat eats more than I do. My favourite thing about blogging is that I get to meet wonderful like-minded people. And I get inspiration for my future visits to London 🙂

Is there anything you like to do any time you visit somewhere new?
I always buy postcards wherever I go even though I don’t send them anymore. And I often buy magnets for our fridge.

Where is somewhere you’ve been or something you did that you didn’t expect much of, but ended up loving?
Bruges. I really didn’t want to waste the precious little time we had in Brussels by going somewhere else but I ended up liking Brugge much more than Brussels. I’d definitely want to visit Bruges again.

What’s your pet peeve?
Selfie-sticks!! I’m sorry but where has the polite request of Could you please take my photo gone?Isn’t that better than shoving your selfie stick into people because you want to take that 1 00 000 perfect picture of you?

What’s your most treasured possession?
My memories.

So, now I need to nominate other bloggers. This isn’t easy because there are many drop dead gorgeous travel blogs out there but I’ll try to pick those that inspire me and that haven’t been nominated for this award before as far as I know.
My nominations are:

Jamie from the The Healthy Passport
Hers was the first travel blog I’ve ever read. I loved reading about her adventures in England as an expat and about her trips around Europe. In a way she inspired me to start my own blog.

Ishita from Italophilia
This blogger is very serious about her passion for Italy. If you want to visit Italy you’ll find plenty ideas here.

Caroline from the Belle Abroad . I love her gorgeous photos of London. What else can I say?:)

Hari from London’s my lobster   Like me she only launched her blog three months ago 🙂 She writes about London. So go and check her blog out!

So, here are some of the questions that I got and I added some new ones. Now, it’s up to you to answer my questions and to nominate other bloggers 🙂

  1. Sounds like you and I have so much in common! For starters, the city you love and have named your blog after happens to be my home 🙂 Second of all, I too think Bled was one of the most stunning places I’ve ever been and thirdly, I visited Brussels last year and am going to Bruges in about two weeks time so am about to check out your Bruges posts now for tips 🙂
