Monthly blog overview: December 2017

December. A month of festivities. My friend’s birthday, my 34th birthday, Christmas and now New Year’s..all celebrated for the first time as a family of three ( as a family of four actually, I’m counting the cat too! :)). But it was all a bit exhausting too…I’m still sporting dark circles and under-eye bags due to sleepless nights..However, it’s quite fun to have a baby! We got a lot of cute clothes so I did a proper photo shooting with the Christmas tree and baby V. one day when we were home alone. The photos are so cute! Sorry, I won’t show them to you.

I managed to visit a few Christmas markets! Yay! The most spectacular Christmas lights were on Trsat Castle (see photo in the previous post or on Instagram).

Blog wise, have you noticed that I changed the background colour? I feel like I need to get a new theme but I don’t know which one to use. Also, should I write about my baby? The few pregnancy posts that I wrote actually attracted quite an audience to my surprise so maybe I should write occasionally about baby V. What do you think?

I don’t know when I’ll travel again so I’m a bit worried that I’ll run out of topics soon. I mean, there are still a lot of places that I haven’t written about so…And I could always write about Croatia but somehow that doesn’t interest me that much even though it seems to interest you, my readers, a lot 🙂

How was your December? Any exciting plans for New Year’s?

  1. Definitely write about Baby V and Croatia! I’ve never been to Croatia, so I’d love to learn more about it. And I’d also love to hear about Baby V. There are lots of travel bloggers with children and I think they’d love to see how having a baby changes how you travel (because you know it will). Of course, don’t stress over it. Do what is natural and best for you, Baby V, your family, and blog (purposely last). Look forward to seeing how your blog changes in the next year! 🙂

  2. I can understand why you don’t feel inspired writing about Croatia – I feel the same way about Finland but darn it the Finland posts that I do write get lots of interaction 😀 But, I would love to read about Croatia, always wanted to go there! Would also love to read about your baby life 🙂 Happy 2018 and all the best, with lots of baby laughter! (Wait til he starts laughing intentionally, it’s The Cutest Thing Ever!!!) ❤

  3. Yes to more baby posts!

I am one of the people who enjoys your Croatia posts. I think it is sometimes hard to realize that what seems normal and everyday to us is exotic and interesting to someone else. And, thanks to your posts about Croatia, your country is a place I would now like to visit.

  4. I write about what enthuses me. I agree with other commitments it can be hard to consistently write about travels. I think a blog about your new baby, the struggles of being a Mum and the joys sounds perfect, I am sure there will be many a poor frazzled mother who would like to know that she’s not alone. As for me…mines 21, been there and done that. It was also my birthday in December so many happy returns x
