Friendly Friday Photo Challenge: Street Art in Berlin

For this week’s Friendly Friday Photo Challenge Sandy chose Street Art. I searched through my media gallery on this blog and I’ve found a couple of examples of different types of street art from my last year’s trip to Berlin. That was such a great weekend trip and I’m so grateful that we managed to go to Berlin ( I was pregnant with my baby girl and we left our son at the grandparents). Who knows when we’ll travel internationally again??

East Side Gallery, Berlin

one of the most famous murals from the East Side Gallery
graffiti on the remains of the Berlin Wall
one of the Buddy Bears sculptures that you can find in Berlin
an interesting sculpture that we saw on the way to Charlie’s Point

Have you visited Berlin? What do you think of the street art in Berlin? Have you seen any of the Buddy Bears sculptures?

Friendly Friday Photo Challenge is hosted by Amanda and Sandy every Friday.

  2. I have visited Berlin but not seen the buddy bears. I do like that city. Walked around for 18 km one hot summer’s day. Fantastic place with palpable history. Noticed your photo of the Berlin wall pieces on the Potsdamer platz. Excellent contributions for street art, Tanja.

  3. Interesting to know that Buddy Bears are in Berlin. If it’s the same concept, here in Toronto we had Moose statues which were painted by different artists and then purchased by corporate buyers all over the city.
