Thursday doors: a few doors from Padua, Italy

Padua, Italy

We’ve recently visited Padua (Padova in Italian). It’s a rather beautiful, university city with interesting sights such as a large square with sculptures Prato della Valle and Basilica of St. Anthony. This wasn’t my first visit to Padova so our main preoccupation wasn’t strictly sightseeing. This was a leisurely, short weekend break with friends to attend a concert and enjoy some fine Italian food and drinks. We had excellent gelato and pizza and enjoyed walking around Padova. Of course, Padova has many beautiful doors so please take a look at them and tell me which one you like the best.

  1. These are all so beautiful, Tanja 🙂 Doors are the barrier between two worlds. There is the outside world that you are part of and there is the world inside which can’t be seen but which you might be able to hint at. Thanks for sharing and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

  2. Oh brilliant! I was in Padua only once and didn’t have much time but did find that church door with two figures which is magnificent. I’d be happy to find all the others that you show us as well. I especially like both green ones.
