Gorski kotar
babymoon weekend in Gorski kotar region of Croatia

August. Time flies. It’s been already a year of these monthlyย blog overview posts. And 2 years of my travel blog! Thanks for sticking around ๐Ÿ™‚ Also, I celebrated 3 years of marriage to a wonderful man. So it was a month of anniversaries. The entire summer was so hot and spending weekends on island Krk was a welcoming relief because I did a lot of swimming. My husband and I also did a weekend babymoon trip to Gorski Kotar area of Croatia which has a nickname Croatia’s Switzerland because of its mountains and forests (there are bears and wolves too!). And now the only thing left to do is to wait for the baby to come ๐Ÿ™‚

Monthly blog overview: July 2017

July. It was a bit slower paced month than June. Some beach time, a lot of ice-cream and of course my husband’s 34 birthday! Also, we got a rather surprising gift from some gaming friends, not that the gift was a surprise but the occasion, to be honest we still don’t know why we got it! Was it a birthday gift or a baby gift or just a gift..Anyway, it was a board game Key to the city-London! My two favourite things in one: board games & London!:) Furthermore, the baby’s room is finally done (painted in a lovely shade of blue). I’m all right, just the heat is sometimes overbearing but I can manage it. Two more months to go before the arrival of our little traveller ๐Ÿ™‚ After a long time I wrote another London post which made me very happy. I’m always happy when I think of London ๐Ÿ™‚

June.ย It was a rather busy month actually. All the weekends were jam-packed with different activities. There were birthday celebrations, local cultural events and the (re)discovering of my region’s rich history and of course some beach time! Yay!:) First beach time ever with a baby bump! And we found out we’re expecting a baby boy in case you missed this post๐Ÿ™‚ We’ve started to sort out the baby’s room too and I received some very cute baby clothes from friends. There’s no tradition of baby shower as such here but once the baby is born all the family & friends usually bring a gift when they first meet the baby (after a month or so).ย Also, I’ve met my high school friends for our 15th year reunion! Oh gosh! Suddenly I feel very old ๐Ÿ™‚

I received a lot of proposals for my guest post invitation so at the moment I can’t accept any new ones. All the guest posts will be published during the summer.

Monthly Blog Overview: May 2017

had a lot of fun on my day trip to Trieste, Italy with my best friend

May.ย So we didn’t go to Munich, Germany last month. I explained why hereย and shared with you my big happy news of being pregnant! ๐Ÿ™‚ However, I did manage a rather tasty day trip to Trieste, Italy with my best friend ( blogged about it too). What else did I do in May? Attended a few birthdays, played some board games as usually, went on walks, etc. My hometown’s football team won the national championship finally so there was a huge party in the town ๐Ÿ™‚ and they’ve won the coup as well so they have two trophies now!

On another note, my mum had a heart surgery. She’s recovering now in hospital. She’s a tough cookie, so I now she’ll be okay, especially after all she’s been through last year.

Also, my heart goes out to all the victims & their families of the recent terrorist attacks in Manchester and London and in other places around the world.

What’s your news? How did you spend May? Any summer plans?

Monthly Blog Overview: April 2017

Finding the Easter bunny in Opatija….

April. After almost a month of procrastinating and studying and feeling very much out of sorts I’ve finally did it! I passed all 8 exams in 3 days and had a great presentation. I got my certificate and now I need to put in my papers for my new licence. What is it? I’mโ€ฆtaadaaaโ€ฆ A TOURIST GUIDE FOR CROATIA! ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a long time and finally decided to give it a try. I do have a lot of experience in tourism already so this won’t be something completely new for me. There are different rules for tourist guides in different countries. In Croatia, you have to have a licence for each region, so I got a licence for two regions. For example, I can take a group of tourists to Dubrovnik and tell them all about different places while we’re on the bus but once we actually get to Dubrovnik I’d need to hire a local tourist guide who has the licence for Dubrovnik. Now, I have a licence for Primorsko-goranska county which includes places such as Rab island ( check this post) and Opatijaย and many other gorgeous seaside towns and islands and some lovely countryside places too. I’ve also got a licence for Plitvice Lakes ( Liฤko-senjska county) ๐Ÿ™‚ . So that’s my big news. Actually, there’s another major news but you’ll have to wait a bit longer for that one. I’m loving all the suspense ๐Ÿ™‚

Monthly Blog Overview: March 2017

I published a photo post about Antibes, France in March

March. On the one hand it was probably the most boring month I’ve had lately. I mostly stayed at home and studied for the exams for my new licence. I saw the musical Mamma mia! which was fun. My hubby and I ate out a lot actually and tried out some new places. My best friend’s baby turned 1 in March! ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m a proud auntie. On the other hand, something very exciting is going on all the time but I still can’t tell you anything about it. Maybe you’ve noticed that I haven’t posted as much as I used to. Well, there are more important things in life than blogging, sorry guys. Anyway, wish me luck with my exams this week! And I’m looking forward to all the Easter food! How was your March?

Monthly Blog Overview: February 2017

February. A lot has happened in the shortest month of the year. But I can’t tell you anything just yet. ๐Ÿ™‚ Anyway, I finished my course. Now I have to study a lot since I have to pass 9 exams in April. But then I’ll get my new licence. What is it? I’ll tell you in April. Also, I had to postpone my trip to Munich because of the exams so hopefully we’ll manage to go to Germany in May instead of late March. I didn’t blog much because I didn’t have a lot of free time. To be perfectly honest, I also kind of lost my motivation for blogging. However, I opened Instagramย account for this blog!:) Yay! And I’m totally hooked already. Have you seen my post on postcards exchange? Would you like to get involved? If you want to send & receive pretty postcards get in touch with me via email at trpbtravels@yahoo.com.
