Thursday doors: a few interesting doors from Budapest is a blog post that features a couple of beautiful or unusual doors that I spotted on my December trip to Budapest. It was a family holiday so I didn’t take a lot of photos but I still managed to come across a few interesting doors. Budapest is a gorgeous city worth a visit in any time of the year but somehow all my visits were during Christmas period. We all enjoyed the Christmas markets and exploring Budapest.
Most of the below door photos were taken around Buda castle area.
from left to right: Dohány Street Synagogue, a famous cake shop, door inside a Christmas shop, a building near the Liberty bridge, a door near Buda castle

Tell me in the comments below, which is your favourite door? And have you been to Budapest, Hungary?
Thursday Doors is a weekly feature allowing door lovers to come together to admire and share their favourite door photos from around the world. Feel free to join in the fun by creating your own Thursday Doors post each week and then sharing your link in the comments’ on Dan’s site , anytime between Thursday morning and Saturday noon (North American Eastern Time).

The cake shop door has to be the winner although I like the one with the concentric circular decorations too.

the small brown door? it’s in the wall, so now probably it doesn’t lead anywhere but it might have been a secret passage or something before

Love that, Tanja – can’t beat a good door – who knows where it will lead?

Beautiful doors Tanja. Great photos all. I love the second photo…the well worn wood door with the carvings above the door.

These are beautiful doors. I love the gate at the top, but my favorite photo is the outside scene with the crane and the sculpture. I love that bird!
