Location & basic info

Alpaka Ranch No stress is located near Drivenik which is just inland of a small seaside town of Crikvenica. If you still don’t know where it is, this might be more helpful. You can reach this ranch by car in less than 30 minutes from Rijeka or by a two hour drive from Croatian capital Zagreb.

This ranch is a popular excursion site for daycare kids and younger school kids. For all other regular visitors it’s only opened during the weekends from 10 AM to 5 PM. There is a car park and then you walk for 2 minutes to reach the entrance of the ranch. Kids under four years of age get free admission. If you have older kids, then buy a family ticket. There are toilets at the site as well as some food and drink options from a food truck. Kids will enjoy a small play area with a bouncy castle, swings and other things.

Our visit to Alpaka Ranch No stress

We visited Alpaka Ranch with our friends. Actually, our daughter has already been there with her daycare group but this was a first visit for all the rest of us. We parked the car and walked towards the ranch entrance. My kids were pleased to see other kids playing at the bouncy castle. I bought us the family ticket and then I took some photographs of my kids with a cute pony near the ticket booth. I was very surprised by some adorable giant rabbits at the entrance. I’ve never seen such huge rabbits. We petted them; they were incredibly soft.

As the name suggests, the main attraction of this ranch are Alpacas. However, you can see many other animals here such as ducks, rabbits, horses, goats, deer etc. We did a tour of the ranch. We walked by all the animals and then kids had a free pony ride. We’ve also tried to feed some animals (you are allowed to that with the food you are given at the entrance). There was a hilarious moment when a tiny billy goat played with a ball with my son. Alpacas were very cute as expected.

After seeing all the animals, we bought some refreshments and kids played in the play area for a while. It’s not a big place so I’d say that an hour, hour and a half is sufficient for your visit. Of course you can stay longer and just relax. Also, you can visit the nearby castle Drivenik or go to the beach in Crikvenica.
