Thursday doors: lovely doors from Venice

doors from Venice, Italy

Thursday doors: lovely doors from Venice is a blog post for all door enthusiasts. You can see below some lovely doors from Venice, Italy. All of these door photos were taken on our August family trip. You can even see my kids posing with some doors. They kept asking me puzzled, mummy, why do you take photos of doors? Then, they wanted to knock on the doors with the gorgeous door knockers but I managed to stop them. If you want to see more photos from our Venice trip click here. Also, I’ll share more doors from Burano and Murano islands in some other Thursday doors post.

  1. The green door, despite being a bit old and scratched, really caught my eye! Green is my favorite color, and it adds a pop of color to the building. Your kids are adorable, too, standing in front of the doors! Thanks for sharing, Tanja 🙂

  2. Great doors and photos, Tanja. I love your children’s participation in your door photos! I enjoyed the door knocker closeup! And the last door, my favorite, fits perfectly into my thoughts when I picture Venice, from the multi layers of stone work around the doors, revealing the wall’s history (Calle de Rgina) and the beautiful ironwork at the top. Superb share.

  3. Wonderful doors, Tanja. I have to offer multiple favorites. Favorite door – the black door at 5745. Favorite hardware – the knocker next to that door. Favorite photo – hands down the winner is your daughter attempting to knock at that huge door!
