Life & blog update: September 2025…was a very good month with two highlights: a cousin’s wedding in Italy and my daughter’s sixth birthday. There was also a work trip to Italy as well.

As usually we had several birthday parties. Firstly, we celebrate our kids’ birthday with grandparents and then with friends. But before that we had our traditional birthday lunch at McDonald’s. Maybe when our kids get older their taste would allow us to celebrate their birthday at a more refined establishment.

Our daughter was beyond ecstatic that her best friend from daycare came to her birthday because this year we didn’t celebrate it at a play room but at our home. Our daughter wanted earrings and roller-skates for her 6th birthday. We got her ears pierced and bought lovely butterfly earrings and she bought herself roller-skates with gift cards from her friends. This is her last year at daycare. My big girl starts school next year.

My son is now in 2nd grade. So far, school is all right. They have some new fun extracurricular activities this year such as chess and baking. He’s switched his football club and this year he’s old enough to play matches in a league which means early wake-ups almost every weekend. But he loves it!

We attended a cousin’s wedding in Italy. The wedding ceremony and the wedding party were held in a vineyard with gorgeous views of both Italy and Slovenia. I felt like I was in a movie. Everything was so sophisticated and beautiful. Besides that, I had two dates with my best friends and my husband and I went to a friend’s birthday too.

I did some blog cleaning finally. For the first time in ten years I actually deleted a couple of old, useless posts such as I’m on Instagram post. Also, my backlog is finally getting shorter.

  6. Happy belated birthday to your daughter! Six years is a lovely milestone, and it’s incredible just how quickly children grow! September sounds like a pleasant month; it was fairly pleasant for me, too, aside from a shoulder injury and a few stressful weeks at work…glad your blog backlog is coming along; mine is still a year behind! Have a great upcoming October 🙂
