Wroclaw, June 2026

Life & blog update: April-June 2026 is a short overview post that covers all the most important things that happened between April and mid of June. It’s been a great period indeed. There were lots of fun things going on, from Easter holidays and our amazing Wroclaw trip in June to many other great things in between.

Life

This year we stayed at home during Easter holidays. Kids loved decorating Easter eggs and we had a very delicious Easter breakfast. We’ve also visited my oldest friend in her new holiday home in Istria.

My son went on several school trips so far and he’s also played numerous football matches. He’s finished second grade now and he’s looking forward to his long summer holidays. On the other hand, my daughter is quite excited about starting school. We attended her lovely farewell party at daycare. It was very emotional for me. I know it’s a cliche to say it but they are both growing up so fast.

We’ve already been to the beach several times and survived two heat waves. I imagine this summer is going to be brutally hot.

My husband and I attended a theater show based on the popular comic book series Alan Ford. Moreover, I got to see my best friends a couple of times for fun nights out (including a fun birthday lunch, pub drinks, cake/movie night and the musical West side story). Other than that, there were the usual board game nights and lots of kids’ birthday parties.

Travel

Again, I had several interesting work trips. One of them took me to Venice and I got to see some transgressive art exhibitions in the city because 61st Venice Art Biennale has already occupied the city.

We didn’t do any day trips in this period. However, we’ve all been very excited for months about our first family airplane trip. We visited Wroclaw, Poland in mid June. Kids liked flying and we all had lots of fun searching for dwarves around beautiful Wroclaw. Posts about our Wroclaw trip are coming soon.

Blog

I didn’t blog much in this period. I really wasn’t inspired or inclined to write about anything other than do a few door posts and a post about my husband’s new board game TEDOKU. But funnily enough, my stats went over the roof. Suddenly, all my old posts are getting new views. Have you noticed the new WP badges? I got a bunch fun ones like World domination and Perfectionist. And I’ve got a good streak because even though I don’t post much I still regularly read your posts and leave comments/likes. I don’t know why but I really struggle to blog about my travels this year.

  1. You are such a beautiful family! I hope your summer is not going to be unbareably hot (we are in the middle of a heat wave here and it is not fun at all!), and that you’ll enjoy the summer holidays with your littles! I also love the new wordpress badges, they are so fun!

  3. I always say that blogging should be a hobby and not a chore. Take a break, enjoy the summer, and come back to blogging when it feels right. Having said that, I always enjoy your life and blog updates. Your trip to Venice sounds very cool.

  5. I’ve been hearing of the infamous European heatwave this summer, and I hope you and your family stay cool! Similarly, I’ve noticed WordPress has been rolling out these badges and awards every time you engage on its site or app– a little corny (and AI-oriented), but kind of fun! At least, it gives me incentive to keep blogging. Have a great summer ahead, Tanja!
