Eat, sleep, work.. Repeat... I've been in Split since Sunday and all I did in terms of sightseeing is an half an hour walk on Sunday and 20mins of taking photos & walking today... Well, hope to do more on Sunday. It's exhausting but also interesting and I'm glad to be doing this... #eatsleepworkrepeat
They say Rome wasn't built in a day... So that's true also for Diocletian's Palace in Split named after the Roman emperor Diocletian who had it built. Years after the fall of the Roman empire ordinary people made their home within the walls of the former Palace and thousands of years later the Palace is still inhabited, it is not just a monument, it's home...
Years ago we went on a day trip to Ozalj Castle, not far from Karlovac in Croatia. It was a great Valentine's Day day trip. We were supposed to go to a day trip today, with the kids, but it's too cold. How are you spending ♥ day?
On the blog:the story behind the Red Phone Box Travels blog. Why did I start blogging, why did I chose the name.. You can read all about it in my latest contribution to monthly travel link up hosted by @londonkiwiemma @binnysfoodandtravel @angiesilverspoon and @summersholiyay
Can you get lost in the smallest city in the world?? 😉 Up on the blog finally, our family day trip to Hum in Istria, Croatia. I've linked up the post to #culturedkids too. I can't believe that was our daughter's first day trip, we were supposed to go abroad with her and our son but then corona virus happened and this was our first local day trip after spring lockdown. We're now in semi lockdown since the end of November... 😭
Another photo, another memory... I once spent a Valentines Day in Oxford, that was such a special day trip. Anyway, I always enjoy seeing places I've visited on TV, in films and series, and I relived my Oxford memories thru His dark materials series. Have you seen it?
