Life & blog update: April 2022… was somewhat different than the previous three months. It wasn’t completely stress free but it was much better than March. My health was still in focus but we finally got to travel again.
I had my wisdom tooth removed at the beginning of April. To be honest, I was scared of this small operation and even more terrified of the fact that I won’t be able to eat proper food for a couple of days. The procedure went well and even though I was under local anesthesia I still felt a lot of discomfort. Also, I didn’t expect to bleed during the night since I had stitches but that was apparently normal too. I survived without solid food😉. However, I managed to regain all the weight I lost.
We had a lovely Easter weekend. On Saturday we drove to Opatija and walked around to find beautiful Easter decorations in the park. I set up an Easter egg hunt in our house for the kids for Easter. They were thrilled and enjoyed searching for chocolate Easter treats around the house. On Easter Monday we went on a day trip to see a castle and Rastoke waterfalls. It was a great day trip and kids enjoyed themselves a lot. I’ll blog about our adventure.
My best friend came home for holidays so we finally got together with our other closest friends for a birthday lunch. We even managed to plan and book a girl’s weekend away. I am soooo looking forward to it.
Do you remember how I wrote last month that covid-19 ruined our trip to Malta? Fortunately for us, Malta has changed their very strict regulations and started to allow entry with a recovery certificate too (or a negative test). That wasn’t possible previously. I was very happy that we would be able to go to Malta after all but then one of our flights got cancelled. I managed to book flights on the same date from another airport and in the end we went to Malta at the beginning of May. But more about our trip in May’s update post. I’ll share several posts about our Malta trip. However, I am very behind with all my travel posts because I just don’t have enough hours in the day to do all I want/need so I can’t say when Malta posts will be online.
I’m quite late with this April post too. How was your April? I just got back from another trip so May is pretty good for us so far.

Gosh wisdom teeth and Covid – ah but you did get to Malta. Yay. The only good thing about wisdom teeth extraction is that they don’t grow back. I had two out then the other two twenty years later – by the same surgeon!

You only have one wisdom tooth? Or only one that needed to be removed?

Good to hear you’re feeling better after the oral surgery. Had two wisdom teeth extracted years ago (both were near major nerves), and I never regretted that decision. While there’s swelling, I found that an ice pack and some anti-inflammatory medication helped the swelling subside. The dentist also prescribed anti-bleeding medication.

Thanks. I hope yours wasn’t too painful.

Wisdom tooth removal isn’t fun, but it’s manageable. I had mine removed about 10 years ago, and aside from having chipmunk cheeks for a week or so, it wasn’t too bad eating and drinking most-exclusively liquids then. Glad you had a wonderful time traveling your home country, and I very much look forward to reading about your time in Malta– it’s a beautiful country!

My son had his wisdom tooth extracted awhile back with the same after effects. Pleased you are now recovered as dental problems aren’t at all nice.
