Thursday doors: doors from Trieste, Italy

beautiful doors from Trieste, Italy

Thursday doors: doors from Trieste, Italy shows several interesting doors from a Northern Adriatic town of Trieste. I often go to Trieste. My last short visit was in last November because I flew to London from Trieste airport. I spend a few hours walking around the city center before my flight. I even sat down for a cake and tea in old-styled, traditional Caffè degli Specchi before I took the local bus to the airport. I’ve also taken a couple of door photos as you can see below. Some doors are grand, some less majestic and one is half destroyed. Trieste has many sights, including a beautiful seaside castle so if you are ever nearby, do visit Trieste.

Thursday Doors is a weekly feature allowing door lovers to come together to admire and share their favourite door photos from around the world. Feel free to join in the fun by creating your own Thursday Doors post each week and then sharing your link in the comments’ on Dan’s site , anytime between Thursday morning and Saturday noon (North American Eastern Time).

  1. Gorgeous, old-fashioned doors! I’ve only had a stop in Trieste en-route by bus from Zagreb to Venice several years ago; I didn’t have the time to alight and explore town, but it looks like a quaint and lovely place worth a peek around!
