My husband and I visited Brussels and Bruges in 2015. It was a fun city break but the definite highlight of our trip was the day trip to Bruges by train. Bruges is a picture perfect town with chocolate shops and horse carriage rides. We walked around Bruges and took lots of photos. I had ice-cream and waffles and bought Belgian pralines. We enjoyed a very delicious (but quite reasonably priced ) lunch at the main square. We also went on a boat trip along the canals.
Here are a couple of door photos from Bruges…

Bruges looks beautiful!! Everytime I see photos of European cities I think ‘that building is probably older than America’. It looks like a good place for walking. Thanks for sharing.

No way! You visited Bruges in 2015? I was there that year in October! Such a beautiful place, and it’s very-walkable. It was my introduction to Belgium, and its architecture (and yes, especially the doors) are enough to charm you well. 🙂

These are lovely photos. I really like the one of the narrow street. I think my favorite is the one of the double iron gates.

Bruges really is chocolate boxy. Love your selection of doors, particularly the wrought iron one.
