What’s the one thing that you always take on your travels? For me, that’s a small notebook or a notepad to jot down my travel adventures while I’m away. Then when I get back home I transfer those notes into entries in my travel diary. Well, at least that’s what I did before I started blogging. I chose Handmade Leather Moleskine Journal Notebook Cover in red colour for the purpose of this review. It arrived beautifully packaged in a brown gift/storage box. As a surprise together with my red notebook cover there were a few extra items. I received a small evil eye talisman (Turkish lucky charm ), red leather keychain, a small package of Turkish coffee and a Turkish tea bag. How nice! There was also a note about the company and a 10% discount coupon.
I’m a fan of Moleskine journals but at the moment I don’t have any. I chose Leather Pocket Moleskine Journal Cover because of its size and convenience. You can put it in your handbag or your coat even, not just your suitcase. These notebook covers come in different sizes and different colours. You can even choose to personalize your notebook cover and get your monogram or your logo on it for an extra charge.

When you order your product you have to wait for it to be made and shipped to you address. The red colour of my handmade leather notebook cover is a deep red colour. There’s still that fine distinctive leather scent. The leather is soft to touch but it seems to be sturdy. The craftsmanship is beautiful. To be honest, the only thing I’m not crazy about is the black elastic band that closes (keeps together) the cover. I don’t think it’s pretty enough for the fine leather. However, it definitely seems that Galen Leather notebook covers are made to last. Perhaps even passed down from one family member to another?
