For this week’s Friendly Friday Photo Challenge Sandy chose Street Art. I searched through my media gallery on this blog and I’ve found a couple of examples of different types of street art from my last year’s trip to Berlin. That was such a great weekend trip and I’m so grateful that we managed to go to Berlin ( I was pregnant with my baby girl and we left our son at the grandparents). Who knows when we’ll travel internationally again??

Hi Tanja, I guess I have an outmoded image of Berlin. This street art seems way too whimsical and even edgy for the place I have in mind. Maybe I need to visit and see for myself. Thanks for sharing.

I have visited Berlin but not seen the buddy bears. I do like that city. Walked around for 18 km one hot summer’s day. Fantastic place with palpable history. Noticed your photo of the Berlin wall pieces on the Potsdamer platz. Excellent contributions for street art, Tanja.

These are so fun! It was great you were able to visit Berlin. And yes, it is a bummer that we cannot travel due to the pandemic. Hopefully, it will be better after! Thank you for sharing your photos. They were lovely.

Interesting to know that Buddy Bears are in Berlin. If it’s the same concept, here in Toronto we had Moose statues which were painted by different artists and then purchased by corporate buyers all over the city.

I think the original idea was a bit different, they even did a world tour of these bears, you can find more information about them online, I don’t remember the specifics anymore
