My Christmas Markets Mugs: Delnice, Croatia

My newest addition to my Christmas markets mugs collection is a mug from Delnice, Croatia. I bought it on Sunday at the Christmas market in Delnice (Gorski kotar area of Croatia). Delnice is only 45mins from Rijeka and the seaside and only an hour and a half from Croatian capital Zagreb. The nature of Gorski kotar area is pristine and mainly covered in woodland and there are still bears and wolves. It is a great area for outdoor sports such as hiking, biking and skiing.

As far as I know this is the only Christmas market in Croatia that sells Christmas mugs. I was so happy when I saw it! Even my husband said you must buy it! But for some reason they just sell the Christmas mug and you still get your mulled wine in a plastic cup. You can also just pay for your mulled wine without the mug.

Anyway, the kids had a blast at Delnice Christmas market. There was even some snow which made my kids so happy. We took a ride in a horse carriage and in a small sightseeing train. Kids met Mrs Claus and fed some deer. There were also bikers dressed as Santas. Of course, we also had some sausages and fritule (traditional Croatian pastry for Christmas and carnival). Delnice has a large ice skating ring too. I took photos of beautiful Christmas displays at the Christmas market. All in all, it was a great Sunday.
