Life & blog update: May 2022… was finally a very good month. We travelled! My husband and I spent 6 days exploring small Mediterranean country of Malta. We walked a lot, had great food, took a lot of photos and basically had a short escape from our real life. Travel is always an escape from the mundane reality. Don’t you think so? I will blog about our Malta trip extensively but for now you can read about some unique treats from Malta and admire beautiful doors from Gozo island (links below).
After Malta trip it was time to take our kids for a fun family weekend away. We visited Brijuni islands in Croatia. Brijuni islands are one of 8 Croatian national parks. We all loved our stay at Brijuni. The hotel exceeded my expectations and I was enchanted by the nature around us. Kids had lots of fun! You will read about our Brijuni weekend at some point this year.
Of course, May wasn’t all about fun trips. I had several doctor’s appointments because of my ER visit a couple of months ago. So far, all the results are good. I still need to do a couple of more tests. The main focus of last year was my career and this year seems to be all about my health.
A lot has changed at my workplace recently. Unfortunately, the changes aren’t good and there is a lot of discontent among my colleagues. Coincidentally, I got interesting phone calls from old colleagues with a prospect of travel.
My daughter is two and a half years old and has recently entered the terrible twos phase. I need more patience than I have but we will all survive this (hopefully). She is without the night diaper now (we took off her daytime diaper in January). She has grown a lot and she is a proper chatterbox. She is never quiet and always has something to say.
My son is still very keen on his football practice. He has finally had a day trip with the daycare (it wasn’t possible before because of covid). Of course, he wanted to take a sandwich and juice as we usually pack snacks for our family day trips too. He has become very protective of his younger sister and they can play together nicely.
I still haven’t blogged about all of our last year’s trips. So, be prepared for dinosaurs in Croatia, Italian adventures with kids and German Ferris wheel.
How was your May? What are your June plans? I’m looking forward to some beach time.

Glad you’re getting to travel again more, as are we. It does feel like we’re making some progress out of the mess of the last couple of years 🙂

Sounds like a busy, but productive month for you! Health is all too important these days, and it’s important to take care of yourself in order to fully enjoy life. Looking forward to reading about your travels from last year: likewise, I’m catching up with mine on my blog, although they won’t be published until this fall! Enjoy your summer. 🙂
