My Christmas Tree Travel ornaments: Netherlands

my ornaments from Amsterdam and Delft

My Christmas tree travel ornaments is a series of short blog posts about my special Christmas tree ornaments that I’ve bought over the years on my travels.

I’m sharing two very special ornaments in this post. First one is from Amsterdam and another one is from Delft. I spent a few days exploring Amsterdam with my best friends in March. We had a blast on the river cruise, danced the night away at Van Gogh’s museum party and ate our body weight in Dutch specialties. Then, we hopped on the train and leisurely wandered around picture perfect Delft.

So, this Amsterdam Christmas ornament is just a plastic bauble but I liked it because it’s very colourful and it has tulips on it.

However, the second Christmas ornament is a proper Delftware, ceramic Delft Blue ornament. I couldn’t resist to buy it even though I already got Amsterdam ornament. And yes, we’ve had the same artificial Christmas tree for years.

  1. Collecting Christmas ornaments while travelling is an amazing way to create lasting memories, turning holiday decorating into a nostalgic journey by bringing tangible reminders of adventures, cultures, and special moments to life each year, fostering storytelling and connection as you relive trips through these unique souvenirs. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx
