My Christmas Tree Travel Ornaments: Düsseldorf

My Christmas tree travel ornaments is a series of short blog posts about my special Christmas tree ornaments that I’ve bought over the years on my travels.

My Christmas Tree Travel Ornaments: Düsseldorf

white bauble from Düsseldorf, Germany

Last year I visited my best friend in her new home in Düsseldorf, Germany. I stayed with her family for a couple of days and they showed me around beautiful Düsseldorf. It was only the beginning of November but some shops already had Christmas displays in their shop windows (mainly chocolate shops). We visited an old, famous department store Galeria Kaufhof Königsallee and they had almost an entire floor dedicated to Christmas ornaments. I was in Christmas decorations heaven;) Of course, I saw many exquisite, delicate Christmas baubles. However, I only had a small backpack and I worried that my new Christmas bauble would break during my trip home.  Then my best friend said that she’d get me a Christmas bauble as a gift and bring it to me when she visits Croatia for Christmas holidays. So, she bought me this gorgeous, old-fashioned, white Christmas bauble with a little girl at Galeria Kaufhof Königsallee, Düsseldorf, Germany.

Do you buy Christmas ornaments on your travels too?

  1. That’s a lovely bauble. One of my favourite things to do is buy Christmas decorations on my travels. I’m working on a post about this year’s selection at the moment.
