My Christmas tree travel ornaments is a series of short blog posts about my special Christmas tree ornaments that I’ve bought over the years on my travels.
My Christmas Tree Travel Ornaments: Malta

I bought this rather simple Christmas bauble in Valleta, Malta in May 2022. Lately, it became a habit to look for a Christmas ornament for my Christmas tree on my travels. I usually just stumble upon some Christmas ornaments in a souvenir shop regardless of the season and that’s what happened on this Malta trip as well. When I look at my Christmas tree it doesn’t just bring me joy but it also reminds me of some wonderful trips that I’ve taken over the years.
Do you buy Christmas ornaments on your travels too?

I don’t collect Christmas ornaments on my trips, but I did at one point collect Christmas market mugs when I visited them in Europe. Nowadays, I just collect magnets and postcards. Happy holidays, Tanja!

I love Christmas ornaments and they make great gifts to people as they’re so personable. I really enjoy how you maybe forget about what you have until you pull them out.

I try to buy a new bauble to bring home if I’m away just before Christmas. It’s lovely then to look back on them each year with fond memories.

This is such a cool idea! I have fond memories of our visits to Malta, that I wouldn’t mind hanging our whole Christmas tree full of your beautiful Malta ornaments!

That’s a tough question! Valletta was beautiful – we could wander there for hours. And we loved Mellieħa (maybe because we stayed there on our second visit). Oh yes, and Gozo (we spent a weekend in Xlendi). But now that you mention the food, that was definitely a highlight. As you can see … there isn’t a firm favourite 😁.
